16 September – Mobitel and Nova KBM bank have developed a new sales channel Moneta in Phonesales; the service has already been introduced by nine enterprises having offered their services by phone sale. Moneta in Phonesales m-pay service enables the users to make their purchase in an easy and user-friendly way simply by using their mobile phones.
The first to introduce Moneta service in their telephone sales are nine enterprises aiming to provide their customers - Mobitel GSM/UMTS subscribers, Debitel subscribers, and Moneta service users at Nova KBM bank who are at the same time subscribers to either of the mentioned mobile operators or Mobi prepaid users - with fast, transparent, and secure non-cash payments via mobile phone. The companies that first enabled Moneta service in their telephone sales are: Eventim, Slovene National Theatre SNG Drama Ljubljana, Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana, Slovene national theatre Maribor, Holiday-control.net, Lecka.net, Esiti, Avtobusna postaja Ljubljana (Ljubljana bus station), and Vzajemna insurance company.
With telephone sales Moneta service enables an instant realization of one’s shopping wish since both the order and the payment are conducted in a few short steps with the use a mobile phone. The payment procedure with telephone sales is quite similar to Moneta Internet service; however, it can work even faster and friendlier to the user. The buyer calls the telephone center and goes through the details of the purchasing in a pleasant conversation with the operator who carries out the payment procedure.
Payment procedure:
• The user calls the number advertised in the remote sales ad
• The products, services, delivery and pricing details are established with the operator of the service provider
• During the conversation the operator enters the due amount, the description of the purchased item, and the user's mobile number into the system
• The user receives the information in an SMS message. If he agrees with the transaction, he forwards to the operator the one-time security password, which is included in the received SMS message
• The purchase is also confirmed by the operator as well as by the SMS confirmation sent to the user when the purchase is completed
• If the user requires an invoice for his/her company or for own records, the precise address and VAT ID number must be supplied to the operator. The reception of an SMS message with a one-time security password and SMS confirmation is free of charge.
Moneta is a mobile payment service that includes Moneta payment online, at vending machines, terminals and Moneta Phonesales, which was first introduced in May 2005 at Hevreka fair. Moneta service enables the users to pay by mobile phone at over 4,000 points of sale across Slovenia, with the number rising daily.
